- From Hagerstown:

Take Route #64
toward Smithsburg. After the second light on Route #64 take the first road
to the right (Route #491). Follow Route #491 for approximately 6 miles;
Route #491 will then make a sharp turn to the left. Follow Route #491 past
the entrance to Fort Ritchie Military Base. Your will then cross some
railroad tracks; and after you pass a grocery store (Decker's Market) take
the next road to your left. This will be Pen Mar Road. Stay on Pen Mar Road
approximately 1 mile. At the 4-Way Intersection, Go straight. The Park will
be on your right.
- From Points East & West off Interstate 70:
- Exit the interstate via exit #35 at Beaver Creek
(Approximately 20 miles west of Frederick or 5 miles east of Hagerstown).
Follow Route #66 ( Mapleville Road) north approximately 5 miles toward
Smithsburg. When you reach a stop light turn right on Route #64. After the
next light, take the first road to your right which will be Route #491; and
follow the directions listed in the paragraph above (From Hagerstown).
- From the Gettysburg Area:
- Follow Route #116 south approximately 12 miles to
Route #16 (At Zora) and go west for 10 miles to Rouzerville. Pick up Route
#491 for approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto Pen Mar Road (Across from
Chocolate Park Tavern). Follow this road approximately 2 miles to the park.
- From the Mercersburg Area:
- Follow Route #16 south to Rouzerville. Turn right
onto Route #491 and follow for approximately 2 miles to Pen Mar road. Turn
Right and follow Pen Mar road to park.
- From Washington, D.C.:
- Take Route 270 North to Frederick MD. Follow
directional signs to U.S. Route # 15 North to Thurmont, MD. Exit on MD Route
# 550 North. Continue on Route # 550 North through Sabillasville, MD.
Continue on 550 North to Cascade, MD. Turn right at intersection onto Route
# 491 and follow directions listed in 2 nd paragraph above (from
Hagerstown).
- From Baltimore, MD:
- Take Route #70 west to Frederick, MD. Take exit #
53 onto U.S. 15 North and follow directions listed above (from Washington,
D.C.)
